ML8802 is manufactured from true filament yarns, not a folded tape or ribbon, most commonly associated with other PTFE and graphite composite packings. Each filament (approx. 400 per yarn) is layered with graphite offering a better heat conductivity and faster shaft speeds.
This unique layered process of graphite and filament yarns results in 38% less thermal expansion than other PTFE yarns producing more uniform pressure on the pump shaft or sleeve.
